Week 1 Preview Ravens vs Cincinati
- Posted by Marco Romanell on September 3rd, 2008
The Ravens take on the AFC North Division rival Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday at 1pm. Cincinnati comes into town following a tough preseason and injuries to Chad "OCHO STINKO" Johnson, the release of former starting Running Back Rudi Johnson, and the riff between Marvin Lewis and the ownership. The Ravens lost both games to the Bengals last season, yielding 8 field goals last season at home to Cincinnati. The Bengals enter the game as 1 1/2 point favorites as both teams look to get off to a good start in what seems to be a very tough AFC North. Here is my game breakdown.
Boller out for the Year
- Posted by Kevin Lynch on September 3rd, 2008
The Baltimore Sun is Reporting that Ravens 6th Year QB and former first Round Pick Kyle Boller will be placed on Injured Reserve. Kyle has been suffering from a partially torn labrum suffered from a big hit in the Minnesota Vikings game. The team has signed 36 year old Todd Bouman to be the Backup while Troy Smith recovers from his bought with a tonsil infection.
Flacco Named Starter, Todd Bouman Signed
- Posted by Kevin Lynch on September 1st, 2008
The Baltimore Sun is Reporting that Joe Flacco will be named the starter for the Ravens opening game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. Flacco, who wasn't originally a candidate for the starting job, was able to win the position after the shoulder injury to Kyle Boller, a Tonsil infection from Troy Smith, and two Solid Preseason outings.
Who Should The 'Skins Start At Quarterback?
- Posted by Todd Thelen on August 29th, 2008
Washington's defense and special teams seem to be ready for the regular season kickoff versus the New York Football Giants. The biggest question is their offense's ability to sustain drives and score. The O line play and running game were acceptable in the preseason, including their play in last nights 24-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

'Skins Recap
- Posted by Todd Thelen on August 25th, 2008
DC got dominated. The Carolina Panthers defensive line dominated Washington's offensive line all night. They have a good one and made the 'Skins look bad. DC's QB's had to run for cover throughout the game. Jason Campbell reverted to his old habits of standing in the pocket like the Statue of Liberty when he had time to throw as well as staring down one receiver. Todd Collins had the best numbers of the group but played with second teamers. Wonder if he'd do better with the starting lineup as he did last season.
