The Baltimore Orioles beat the Washington Nationals by a score of 6-5 Saturday night despite a three-run eighth inning rally by the Nationals. The Orioles have now won four in a row and seven of eight.

The Baltimore Orioles beat the Washington Nationals 5-3 Friday night in their designated interleague rivalry game. Garret Olson struggled to make it through five innings allowing hits in each inning. Overall, he allowed three runs on nine hits with no walks issued and three strike outs. The bullpen pitched four shutout innings and struck out six.

Red Sox Swept By Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles swept by the Boston Red Sox in a two game series by winning Wednesday's game 6-3 on the strength of a grand slam by Jay Payton. In the win, Daniel Cabrera pitched seven innings and allowed just three earned runs. He is now 4-1 with a 3.58 ERA on the season. He did not walk a batter.

The Baltimore Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday night. Jeremy Guthrie pitched well for the Orioles going six innings and allowed three runs, two of them earned. The righty surrendered eight hits, one walk and struck out seven. Jim Johnson gave up only his third earned run this season with 22 2/3rds innings pitched.

Orioles Shut Down

The Baltimore Orioles failed in the attempt to complete a four-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals in Kansas City on Sunday. Brian Bannister was simply too much for the Orioles. He went eight innings and allowed just two hits in the Royals' 4-0 win over the Orioles.
