Hello Ravens fans, my name is Marco and I am the Ravens blogger for this site and this is my first entry of the season. There are a lot of unique story lines surrounding the Ravens this season, how quickly will the new coaching staff and players gell? Will we have secondary depth? Will Trevor Pryce revert back to his 2006 form and Who will be our starting quarterback and will they remain that for the entire season? These questions can not be answered just but watching one pre season game, however there are 5 things that I believe will be important to watch tonight and here they are:

The New York Yankees are getting thrown around by the Orioles.

When was the last time you saw a Yankees fan get upset about losing to the Orioles? I have been seeing them get upset all week. Adam Jones is showing off his skills to the league. A grand slam homerun put an emphasis to their victory on tuesday.

Simple question to all Oriole fans. Like I stated before the Phillies built their young nucleas through their farm system. It looks like the Orioles received some good young players through past trades.

What do you think of the recent play from the Orioles?

Now that we see a lot of players playing college ball for one year and leaving for the NBA Draft, it brings the question, is this pointless and it should be two years, or Should they allow players out of High School, or do you like it the way it is?

I wanted to give the wrestling team at Maryland some time, since its the first time they have owned the ACC crown since 1973. Maryland has won the most ACC titles with 20 overall. Seems like Maryland used to be a wrestling mecca. Now I do have to boast that after looking at their roster, most of their wrestlers are from the keystone state. Pennsylvania is just a powerhouse in wrestling. Anyways, congrats to them. Go terps.

I'm curious to see who everyone would like to see the Ravens Draft this year. I would love to see them address Defensive End or Cornerback. I believe these positions will be much improved if Rolle, McCallister, and Trevor Pryce come back Healthy, but I think the end is near for Pryce and Rolle. If they don't go with a Defensive End, I think it show they see a bright future for Antwan Barnes and Maybe even Dan Cody.

ESPN's Andy Glockner writes an
update(http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bubblewatch?id=71) on the bubble teams and what those teams need to do to dance. Nobody wants to dance with the fat lady (NIT)...its all about the hot blonde (March Madness).

Tonight's game versus Clemson is a must win in my eyes. With a win tonight, the Terps will have beaten a team with 20 wins (Clemson) and of course the away game at #1 North Carolina.

The Preseason Coach's Association Lacrosse Poll is out, and reminds me that warm weather is coming soon, Hopefully! Loyola will certainly be tough to beat as they return attackmen Joe Cummings and Steele Stanwick. They are certainly predicting Landon and St. Mary's to have their best seasons of this decade. Should add extra excitement to the Landon/Georgetown Prep Rivalry!
