Football is in the air and you know what that means, people out there everywhere are risking their kids college funds on parlays and teasers, just hoping to cash in. But hopefully not. Here are some of my picks that might help you make some Monopoly money. If you do, remember where you got the picks from and give me some money:

NCAA:
Notre Dame(-22.5) vs San Diego St
Pick- Notre Dame will win but take SDSU and the points

#15 BYU(-9) at Washington
Pick- BYU- The cougars have the nations longest win streak and look to run the table and crash the BCS Party. There is no reason to see the streak end here. UW will keep it close early but BYU will cover the spread.

#8 West Virgina(-8) at East Carolina
Pick- West Virginia. The Pirates stunned Va. Tech last week(although that game was picked correctly by yours truely) and get no rest when they take on West Virgina. The Mountaineers have an 8 game win streak against the Pirates and will make it number 9 on Saturday. This game will be close in the first half and the Mountaineers and Pat White will win by at least 2 tds.

22 Wake(-8) vs Ole Miss
Pick- Wake by less then a td. Wake will win but not cover the spread. Ole Miss has speed and talent and the SEC is 1-0 against a week ACC this season. Wake needs to be on upset alert as Ole Miss can easily go into Winston Salem and win. Take the Rebels and the points, this game will be decided by a touchdown. This is my UPSET ALERT.

UPSET SPECIAL:
AKRON(+4.5) AT Syracuse
The Zips win this one outright

Lock of the week
BYU over Washington

NFL

Ravens(+2.5) vs Cincy
Pick- Ravens outright, I will be at the game and they do not lose when I go.

Eagles(-8) vs St. Louis
Pick- Eagles big; maybe by 3 TD's

Dallas(-6) at Cleveland
Pick- Dallas. I do not know what to make of this game. The Browns have looked awful in the preseason but are playing at home and I have a feeling they will step up and play well.If Josh Cribbs was playing I would take the Browns however I like the Boys by a touch in a back and forth shootout.

Broncos(-3) at Oakland
Pick- Broncos. This will be a breakout season for Cutler and it will start with a win over an improved Raiders team.

Green Bay(-2) vs Minnesota
Pick- Vikings. Aaron Rodgers will feel the pressure to perform at home and will get eaten up by a great Vikings D. This looks to be a low scoring game but I think Minnesota prevails.

USPET
San Fran(+3.5) vs Arizona
There are no real upsets in the NFL and San Fran is at home so its hard to call this an "upset". Do not be suprised if the 49ers and Mike Martz upset an inconsistent Cardinals team.
