The win was fitting considering that two of Washington's best were inducted into the Hall on Saturday. WR Art Monk and CB Darrell Green are two Jesus loving men who used their God given abilities to help DC win three Super Bowls in ten years.
What impressed me most about last night's game, beyond the quality quarterback play from Jason Campbell, Todd Collins, and Colt Brennan (sixth round, Hawaii), was new Head Coach Jim Zorn's play calling.
Zorn has experience doing this as a former QB for the Seattle Seahawks. He showed that he still has a good feel for the game as it progresses. He understands the idea of play one. If a play works, keep running it until the other team stops it; then do the same with another play, etc.
Also, an offense with the Joe Gibbs running game and the Sid Gillman/Bill Walsh passing game as the cornerstone should cause problems for opponents; if the team stays healthy and plays up to its God given abilities.
