Coppin outlasts Loyola in overtime
By Keith Henry
“We just moved in to our brand new house. We pay the mortgage, we clean the kitchen and everything is ours. So we need to take care of it like it’s ours. It’s our first and our last. That’s why we need to appreciate (this place) every game.”
Coppin State center Sam Coleman was referring to the new Physical Education Center where the Eagles gave their supporters some heartburn last night. But the Eagles turned up the defense in overtime to defeat the Loyola Greyhounds 63-58 for their first win in their new home.

The Greyhounds (4-2) did that tonight on both ends of the floor, outscoring the Bears 42-22 inside the paint. That was the huge part of Loyola’s 78-66 victory over Morgan State at Reitz Arena.
