COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The second midfield unit of John Haus, Michael
Shakespeare and Drew Snider combined to score six of the sixth-ranked
University of Maryland men's lacrosse team's 12 goals in the Terps' 12-8 win
over Towson Saturday at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.
The game marked Maryland's return to Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium after
construction to Tyser Tower forced the Terps top play their 2009 home games at

COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The sixth-ranked Maryland men's lacrosse team returns to Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium for the first time since the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament when it hosts in-state rival Towson on Saturday March 13. The Terps and the Tigers are scheduled for an 11 a.m. face-off.
• The game will be broadcast live locally on WMAR Channel 2 in Baltimore as well as nationally on ESPNU. Handling the play-by-play will be Scott Garceau, while Mark Dixon will provide the analysis.
Vasquez, Williams Earn ACC's Top Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greivis Vasquez earned the 2010 Player of the Year and Gary Williams was voted the 2010 Coach of the Year as the Atlantic Coast Conference announced its top individual awards on Tuesday.
The voting was done by members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.
Vasquez, a senior from Caracas, Venezeula, is the fifth University of Maryland player to earn ACC Player of the Year honors and the first since Juan Dixon earned the award in 2002. Len Bias won twice (1985, 1986), Albert King won in 1980 and Joe Smith won the award in 1995.

team, possessed the ball for just seconds of overtime, but that was all it needed
to pull out an 11-10 win over No. 9 Duke at the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic

COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The seventh-ranked Maryland men's lacrosse team will take on long-time ACC rival No. 9 Duke at the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The game is the ACC opener for both teams. The Terps and the Blue Devils are the first game of a triple-header that has No. 5 Johns Hopkins taking on No. 6 Princeton and No. 4 Notre Dame facing No. 10 Loyola.

Maryland's Yeatman Named ACC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
GREENSBORO, N.C.--Maryland senior midfielder Will Yeatman was named Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 28. Yeatman scored three times in Maryland's 15-13 victory over local rival and nationally-ranked Georgetown.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Junior righthanders Blair Delean and Brett Harman combined with senior righthander Dan Gentzler to pitch a seven-hitter as the University of Maryland (2-6) handed Towson University (1-7) a 4-2 loss at cold and rainy Shipley Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Delean allowed only two runs on six hits in 6.1 innings of work. He did not walk a batter and struck out eight. Harman retired all five hitters he faced in 1.2 innings of relief. Gentzler came on to pitch the ninth inning and earned the save.

The Maryland Terrapins had everything to play for: the final home game for 30 seniors and the chance to set up a game next week against Boston College that would send the Terps to the ACC Championship game. Instead, Florida State arrived in College Park and crashed the party.
