Tonight was the first of many great games to come in the Orioles future! Although Daniel Cabrera was not at all what we needed him to be, the Orioles bats came alive in the later part of the game when they were down six to three heading into the 6th. Before I get too far into the O’s great comeback I want to talk about Daniel Cabrera. Cabrera looked horrible giving up 6 earned runs on 6 hits, walking 5 and threw 2 pitches that went long. McPhail I really think its time to consider moving Daniel Cabrera! I know it’s only the second game of the season but I’ve seen too much of this the past couple of years from him! But let’s get back to the comeback; unlike past teams I saw a glimpse of what could be a Great team. Huff hitting a homerun and 4 RBI’s, B-Rob hitting a Homerun, and good defensive plays at second, as well as the wonderful defense from the rest of the infield and the new look outfield! As far as pitching goes you know what I think about Cabrera but I did like the new kid Randor Bierd. Randor was great in his major league debut as he came in the 5th and got his first batter to hit into the double play to kill the Rays momentum! Walker was perfect on one inning of work and Sherrill looked OK in his first appearance as the closer this year! Overall it was an exciting game and I hope and pray for many more this year and years to come! Tomorrow night is the rubber game of the series and I would like to see the O’s pull a win out and start off the year with a series win!
