The Preseason Coach's Association Lacrosse Poll is out, and reminds me that warm weather is coming soon, Hopefully! Loyola will certainly be tough to beat as they return attackmen Joe Cummings and Steele Stanwick. They are certainly predicting Landon and St. Mary's to have their best seasons of this decade. Should add extra excitement to the Landon/Georgetown Prep Rivalry!

It will be interesting to see how Severna Park and Boys' Latin do after losing a lot of fire power in the Attack. Severna Park Eric Lusby (Loyola), Colby Rhodes (Penn State), and Chris Hunt (UNC), and Boys' Latin lost top scorers Travis Reed and Brett Weiss to Maryland.

Look for Returning 2A/3A champ Glenelg to be very strong as they return the majority of their team, plus they are moving down to the 1A/2A Classification. Expect Marriott's Ridge to make a major jump as they have done in all sports this year, they return top player Daniel Incontrera.

Should be fun.

Calvert Hall and Gilman were both very Young Last year, look for both to be very tough. New Coach's at Spalding and Severn, should be very interested. Spalding has a very talented Junior named Mike Poiter. Garden City NY comes to Maryland to Play Georgetown Prep and I believe Gilman. Should be nice NY/MD matchups.

St. Mary's

I can't believe St. Mary's is #4, they must be expecting big things in their first season of actually having their own field. Look for Broadneck to be strong as Kyle Colleran and Caleb Holt take on a bigger Role. Severna Park definitely loses a lot of players, hopefully they will be knocked off this year.
