Now that we see a lot of players playing college ball for one year and leaving for the NBA Draft, it brings the question, is this pointless and it should be two years, or Should they allow players out of High School, or do you like it the way it is?
Two years a must
Lets face it. We cant have babies playing with men anymore, unless we keep developing babies like Lebron James. If a kid can go to college to be a "student-athlete" then they should be able to play two years, get some knowledge before they go into the real world and develop a little more, especially physically. Most players do not look like Lebron James. Two years brings a lot more to the professional ranks if the league makes this mandatory. I like the idea.
Why
I don't understand what the big deal is with this. Baseball Players can enter the pros before they are even out of High School. They should be able to do what they want and it should be up to the team to see if they want to take on the risk.
fun
Fundamentals consistently applied lead to more wins than one dimensional play does...College ball is the place to grow into one's game and life if possible. Triple threat; dribble, pass, shoot. All NBA players should be able to do this.
Yes
I think this has to be done... There is too many players that go to the NBA and are worthless until there first contract is up. College is a great place to learn how to play the game, both leagues could benefit from this, 1 year in college seems pointless
